Hot flashes on and off for days, now.

After months of nothing happening, suddenly I'm "rushing" on a regular basis.

It's odd -- I've always been easily chilled, and I've always loved the heat. But suddenly, when I have a flash, I can't stand the heat, and I have to loosen my clothes. It's very odd. I love saunas, I love really warm rooms, but I can't take the internal sauna, and all of a sudden, I love the feel of cool.

You have to understand what a departure this is for me. I have always HATED the cold (even though I'm a norther clime kinda gal). I have always HATED to be cold... probably due to all those winter trips with my family, when the '75 VW van was freezing cold with no heat and we had to huddle under sleeping bags to stay warm.

But now I actually like it. It feels like a relief, for my feet to be a little chilly. It feels nice, to have a cool breeze, or cool water running over my hands. It's very odd, and proof positive that something very unusual is going on in my body.

Oh girl! I was born and raised in southern California and loved the sun and the fact that it never rains.... yeah well whatever... I am withya! I have now transplanted to the upper tundra plains and its freakin fridgid here, yet I wake up at 3 EVERY night just cooking!

I usually get up and post some pithy metaphor laden drabble online then creep back to bed and shiver till its time to get up.
